A Jewish Life (114΄), Christian Kermer & Christian Krienes, Austria

Marko Feingold, born in 1913, grew up in a Jewish working-class neighborhood of Vienna. He survived the concentration camps of Auschwitz, Neuengamme, Dachau and Buchenwald.

After the war he helped funneling tens of thousands of former concentration camp inmates on their flight, crossing the Alps into Italy and on to Palestine.

“A Jewish Life” sketches the fateful twists and turns of his life and of his survival in one of the darkest eras of human history. At the same time timeless questions are being raised: Questions about human nature, morals, responsibility, human dignity – and their limitations.
