The GNTO supports AegeanDocs

On behalf of the Ministry of Tourism and the Greek National Tourism Organization, I welcome with great pleasure the 6th International Festival of Aegean Docs 2018.

For yet another year, the institution "Aegean Doc" highlights the ancient, charming place of the Northern Aegean Sea, making it the center of cultural life of the broader region. At the crossroads of continents and cultures, the nerve center of the crossing of international migration flows, our islands, which were recently known for being a shelter for many persecuted refugees, are recognized as welcoming places not only for the survival but also for the art. This Festival, which is co-organized by the North Aegean Region and the Municipality of Lesbos, in collaboration with the University of the Aegean and the Ephorate of Antiquities of Lesbos, constitutes a valuable creative initiative of local entities to promote the Northeastern Aegean Islands, as a unique and simultaneously as a multi-functional destination of thematic-alternative Tourism. The Minister of Tourism, Mrs. Elena Kountoura, and the Greek National Tourism Organization support such efforts which promote the region as a cultural destination, capable of offering a unique original travel experience to its guests.
